Chief of Interventional Pulmonology

The University of California Los Angeles seeks a highly skilled and experienced Section Chief of Interventional Pulmonology to lead our Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinical care within the Interventional Pulmonology section, with a focus on providing exceptional patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee clinical care within the Interventional Pulmonology section, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with division, department, and health system leadership to ensure access to high-quality inpatient and outpatient IP care.
- Work closely with clinic and procedure area leadership and staff to optimize resources and improve clinical operations.
- Develop and oversee quality improvement initiatives within the section, ensuring a culture of inquiry and innovation.
- Support research initiatives led by IP faculty and others within the health system, expanding the section's research activities.
- Coordinate educational activities to facilitate training of future leaders in the field, working closely with the IP fellowship program director and directors of other training programs.
- M.D. or D.O. degree required.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Internal Medicine.
- Completion of an American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (AABIP) or Association of Interventional Pulmonology Program Directors (AIPPD) fellowship or AABIP board certification.
- Demonstrated expertise in all clinical aspects of interventional pulmonary practice, with a national/international reputation.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of outstanding leadership and prior experience leading an interventional pulmonary program (desirable but not required).
