Reporting To: Operations Manager

Role Summary:

The Area Team Lead plays a crucial role in our operational framework, contributing to the overall success of our services. This position involves guiding teams through established protocols while promoting the mission of the company through effective teamwork and communication.

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organizational skills and efficiency. They will embody the principle of 'leading by example' to uphold the standards set by Rock Solid Janitorial. The scope of responsibility may vary, requiring flexibility in managing multiple facilities, with travel being a necessary component of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop schedules for initial site assessments, including introductions and facility walkthroughs.
  2. Document and address daily operational challenges, collaborating with teams to monitor logs and resolve issues with custodial staff and clients.
  3. Conduct effective training sessions for team members and coordinate staff meetings as required.
  4. Ensure adequate staffing levels and availability of supplies and equipment across facilities.
  5. Act as a primary point of contact for client communications, providing regular updates and status reports.
  6. Perform comprehensive inspections of facilities, including janitorial closets, alongside team leaders and custodians.
  7. Guarantee all necessary documentation is completed accurately, including required signatures.
  8. Offer coaching and performance evaluations for Team Leaders, collecting feedback on their performance.
  9. Organize and facilitate training programs as assigned.
  10. Assist with additional projects or tasks as needed to ensure facilities meet service standards.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of three years of experience in training, teaching, or management roles.
  2. Proficient writing skills for composing performance reviews and other job-related documents clearly and correctly.
  3. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a results-oriented approach.
  5. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  6. Capable of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive situations professionally.
  7. Experience in training, coaching, and motivating staff in effective cleaning practices.
  8. Must successfully pass state background checks as required.
