Position Overview:

Chipton-Ross is actively seeking multiple Senior Test Engineers for a contract opportunity.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a Test Engineer to provide support for on-site, dedicated 2nd and 3rd shift and weekend testing operations for the Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AI&T) of a production Space Payload program.

Your responsibilities will include executing test scripts to verify Software, Hardware, and System requirements for applications in the Space sector.

A solid understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) systems, particularly in RADAR, SIGINT, or COMMS, along with programming and scripting capabilities, and familiarity with RF testing equipment (such as Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, etc.) is highly desirable.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics); or a High School diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant military experience with sensor systems, ideally in RADAR, integration and testing, or military control room operations; or experience in the defense industry with sensor systems, ideally in RADAR, integration and testing, or operations and maintenance.
  • Willingness to work dedicated 2nd or 3rd shifts and weekends for extended periods.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with RADAR and/or ESA (Electronically Scanned Array) integration and testing.
  • Experience with Space Payload or Space Vehicle (Satellite) integration and testing in a clean room setting.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C or MATLAB for understanding and enhancing existing code.
  • Experience in scripting with Python or Tcl for modifying and improving existing scripts.
  • Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

A High School Diploma is mandatory. The educational institution must be accredited.


WORK SCHEDULE:

This position follows a 9/80 workweek. The role is entirely on-site, requiring a commitment to dedicated 2nd or 3rd shifts and weekends for several months.
