Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with industry suppliers and commercial procurement teams to pinpoint ingredients that fulfill product design requirements.
  • Identify novel ingredient opportunities that can provide cost efficiencies while sustaining or enhancing product quality.
  • Evaluate new ingredients for potential hazards and ensure appropriate controls are in place to mitigate risks.
  • Utilize expertise related to the raw material ingredient portfolio across diverse applications, serving as a key technical resource within the organization.
  • Leverage ingredient knowledge to inform strategic direction and explore avenues for improving key product characteristics and cost savings.
  • Manage and assess existing ingredients in our portfolio to guarantee the production of high-quality, nutritious offerings.
  • Ensure alignment of new ingredient opportunities with relevant stakeholders within the Research and Development (R&D) division.
  • Support the coordination and management of external stakeholders associated with R&D.
  • Influence and develop technical strategies and best practices.
  • Draft and maintain ingredient specifications.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Animal Nutrition, Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in the food sector, specifically in research and development.
  • Experience with the functionality and quality of food ingredients, particularly in animal proteins.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree in Animal Nutrition, Food Science, Food Technology, or a related technical discipline.
