Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a PTA to join our team at Interim HealthCare of New Hampshire.

About the Role:

As a Home Health PTA, you will play a vital role in providing personalized physical therapy to patients in their homes. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide home-based physical therapy to patients who have lost mobility, strength, and functionality due to an illness or injury
  • Work as part of a home health team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Assist patients with exercises and hands-on therapy to manage pain and increase mobility
  • Educate patients on their plan of care, established goals, exercises, and self-care
  • Coach family members on the plan of care, therapy goals, and safely assisting with exercises
Requirements:
  • Active PTA license in the State of Maine
  • Minimum of 1 year of PTA experience, ideally in home healthcare
  • CPR certification
  • Up-to-date on all State of Maine Required vaccinations
  • Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
  • Good clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, dexterity, and compassion
