MaineHealth is seeking a Director of Infection Prevention to oversee and manage assigned personnel and infection control services across the acute care and ambulatory care spectrum of MaineHealth.
Accountability includes infection surveillance and accreditation readiness, as well as working with Epidemiology leadership to define and execute long-term strategic plans.
The director serves as a resource to the infection control staff and for staff throughout the campuses and practice sites within the licenses of the local health systems of MaineHealth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee infection control services and personnel
- Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures
- Collaborate with Epidemiology leadership to define strategic plans
- Provide resource support to infection control staff and other staff members
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field
- Licensed in a clinical field
- Certification in Infection Control
- Five years of progressively more responsible management experience in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Patient care evaluation skills
- High level of analytical ability
