Turner Surety and Insurance Brokerage, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Claims Manager to join our team. As a Claims Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing clients' disputes and related claims within assigned regions.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and ensure claims within assigned regions are reported in a timely manner to applicable insurance carriers.
- Engage with Operations, Safety, and/or Legal teams to ensure initial investigations are conducted and documented via written reports.
- Participate in crisis response team activities within assigned regions and provide guidance on steps to strategically manage crisis and claim processes.
- Analyze loss data for claim settlement and reserves and make recommendations to senior and/or client leadership.
- Prepare periodic reports, such as loss or benchmark reports, as directed using data management systems.
- Oversee settlement of claims up to permitted settlement authority and escalate to Director, Claims as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in Business, Insurance, or Risk Management, and a minimum of 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Extensive experience with general liability, builders' risk, professional liability, and pollution claim processes, with a particular focus on New York Labor Law.
- Familiarity with client contracts, insurance policies, and claims documents and practices.
- Comprehension of State and local jurisdiction insurance and claims regulations.
- OSHA knowledge and experience desired; OSHA 30-hour certification, a plus.

Salary:The salary for this position in NYC is estimated to be $128,460 - $164,025 annualized.
