Job Title: Lead Toddler 2 Teacher

Crystal's Cuddle Bugs Childcare Program is seeking a dedicated and experienced early childhood educator to lead and inspire young minds as a Lead Toddler 2 Teacher.

Job Summary:

The Lead Toddler 2 Teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children, guiding and mentoring other staff members, and fostering a love of learning in our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Leadership: Lead and manage a classroom of young learners ages 1-2, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment for all children.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with our curriculum goals and encourage children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Supervision and Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers and aides, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Child Assessment: Observe and assess children's progress, identifying individual needs and developing strategies to support their growth.
  • Parent Communication: Establish strong partnerships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and classroom activities.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other lead teachers and center administrators to ensure the smooth operation of the childcare program.
  • Classroom Management: Implement effective classroom management techniques, promoting positive behavior and conflict resolution.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and licensing requirements, maintaining a clean and secure environment for the children.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Associate's degree or 28 credits in early childhood education or relevant fields, including art, psychology, sociology, teaching, etc., will also be considered.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential will be accepted in lieu of formal education.
  • 2 years of experience working in an early childhood education setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of child development theories, early childhood education principles, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Passionate about early childhood education and committed to the growth and development of young learners.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire both staff and students to reach their full potential.

Compensation:

Hourly Wage: $18.85/hour to $22.56/hour, commensurate with experience in the industry and with Cuddle Bugs, and education.

New external hires can expect starting pay within the range of $18.85/hour to $20.65/hour, based on qualifications.
