Job Summary

CHI Health is seeking a skilled Clinic Sonographer (Ultrasound Tech) to join our OB Team at the CUMC-Bergan campus. As a key member of our team, you will perform procedures using diagnostic imaging equipment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and their abilities to participate in ordered procedures, providing clear explanations and obtaining informed consent.
  • Obtain patient consent for care and ensure patient confidentiality, while maintaining a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
  • Select and operate proper equipment, setting technical factors and gathering necessary supplies for procedures.
  • Obtain clear and complete patient histories and record data into patient records for image interpretation and future encounters.
  • Perform quality assessments of images obtained and evaluate equipment issues, escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • ARDMS board certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
