We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgical team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures.
- Registered Nurse licensure
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, or BCLS Instructor, obtained within 30 days of employment start date
