Clinical Quality Program Director Job Description

Elevance Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Quality Program Director to lead our national quality improvement strategy for a major line of business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives that drive excellence in patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a national quality improvement strategy that aligns with Elevance Health's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee internal and external resources responsible for administering regulatory and mock surveys, including CAHPS, HOS, mock CAHPS, and provider-facing surveys.
  • Manage the end-to-end process for multi-million-dollar survey budgets, including statement of work, procurement processes, and service level agreements with multiple vendors.
  • Lead enterprise-wide quality strategy meetings, manage CAHPS-related RFP requests for all lines of business, and vendor oversight requests as required by Government business lines.
  • Develop and facilitate improvement strategies for related quality plans, identify and integrate best practices into state programs, and develop performance improvement plans.
  • Participate in the development, management, review, and reporting of program outcomes for clinical quality programs, ensuring compliance with corporate Quality Improvement work plans.
  • Assure research program documentation meets regulatory and Accreditation Standards, and accurate and complete quantitative analysis of clinical data.
  • Lead department projects and mentor staff, preparing and presenting program documents to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Requires a BS in health administration, nursing, or a related clinical field; 5 years of healthcare quality or data analysis experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred skills include current unrestricted license or certification in an applicable field (i.e., CPHQ) or MS in the health field (i.e., Nursing), knowledge of state or assigned line of business needs and priority improvement areas, and 5-10 years managing mid-to-large-scale change/project initiatives.
