Key Responsibilities

As an Acquisition Specialist IV, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing protests in compliance with FAR and agency protocols, ensuring appropriate resolution of complaints.
  • Implementing measures to safeguard the Government's interests in noncommercial item contracts.
  • Investigating, analyzing, and resolving disputes and protests; negotiating settlements and preparing decisions for the Contract Officer.
  • Assessing, recommending, and executing contract terminations when deemed beneficial for the Government, while collaborating with vendor leadership.
  • Providing briefings to senior FBI leadership on intricate acquisition issues.
  • Building and overseeing a cooperative acquisition team to facilitate the awarding of complex contract vehicles for enterprise and strategic sourcing.
  • Leading proactive engagement and outreach initiatives with industry vendors.
  • Reviewing acquisition strategies through the Procurement Strategy Review (PSR).
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A Top Secret Clearance.
  • Between six to twelve years of federal contracting experience relevant to the responsibilities outlined.
  • FAC-C Level III or DAWIA Level III certification (preferred).
