Job Summary

The Cincinnati, OH VA Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Physician to serve as the Section Chief for the Hematology/Oncology Section. As a key member of our team, you will provide leadership and direction to our clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional service to our Veterans.

Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership and management of the Hematology/Oncology Section, including staff supervision, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with VA regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with other medical staff and departments to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs to enhance the overall quality of care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in Hematology/Oncology, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and care.
Requirements
  • Board certification in Hematology/Oncology.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Completion of residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
