Role Responsibilities
As a CAD Technician, you will be entrusted with the following tasks:

  • Collaborate within a specific discipline under the guidance of an Architect, Engineer, or other technical expert.
  • Take ownership of the discipline model, generating BIM elements in accordance with the Level of Development (LOD) specified in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project requirements.
  • Develop and sustain the discipline model, including systems, content, and overall digital delivery outputs.
  • Depend on the architect, engineer, or other technical professional for direction while being proficient in the discipline and software necessary for design production.
  • Precisely model BIM elements within the designated constraints of the modeling environment using advanced 3D software.
  • Create detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams that align with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Maintain the discipline model, ensuring accurate project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, and boundaries.
  • Generate discipline-specific documentation with precise annotations on all modeling outputs.
  • Oversee, enhance, and uphold company standards and model integrity.
  • Coordinate design efforts with other discipline models through Design Reviews and the 3D Coordination process.
  • Assist in fulfilling any additional Digital Delivery requirements identified for the project.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A technical degree or a minimum of three years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in 3D design software and document management systems.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications and communication tools.
  • Experience with 3D Coordination tools.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
  • An intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural principles.
