- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), accurately capturing images for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Ensure patients are comfortable before, during, and after dental treatments, providing emotional support and reassurance.
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatments, promoting optimal health and well-being.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update dental charts, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with the dental team.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order when necessary, ensuring a well-stocked and efficient dental office.
- Perform routine tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering the phone, and billing patients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a dental assistant program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
- Valid state certification or registration for dental assisting.
- Proven experience as a dental assistant, demonstrating a strong understanding of dental procedures and patient care.
- Strong knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with patients, dentists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions precisely, maintaining accurate records and ensuring seamless communication.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to patient care.
