We are a leading ambulatory surgery center in Webster, Texas, serving the residents of Harris County since 1979. Our center performs over 600 cases a month, offering a range of specialties including ENT, Endoscopy, Colorectal, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Podiatry, Urology, Plastic and Reconstructive surgeries.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Bay Area Surgicare Center. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the instrument and equipment set-up for your OR, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for surgical procedures.
- Coordinate and oversee your room during a case as the circulator, facilitating effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures.
- Utilize appropriate body mechanics in moving patients to stretchers and OR tables to prevent injury.
- Manage patient care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia.
- Consistently review charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
- Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure.
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment.
- ACLS as required by facility.
- CNOR certification preferred.
