Electrical Tester I Job Summary

As an Electrical Tester I at G&W Electric Company, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electrical products. Your primary responsibility will be to perform repetitive testing preparation and testing tasks of basic to moderate complexity. This includes visually inspecting products prior to testing, inspecting testing equipment and test booths/cages for proper operation, and preparing products for testing by safely making the necessary connections. You will also be responsible for separating non-conforming parts, documenting actions by completing production and quality forms, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment. Additionally, you will contribute to team effort by training others in the performance of testing tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Visually inspect products prior to testing to detect conformance to standards
  • Inspect testing equipment and test booths/cages for proper operation
  • Prepare products for testing by safely making the necessary connections
  • Separate non-conforming parts
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Contribute to team effort by training others in the performance of testing tasks as needed
Requirements:
  • Must be able to safely use small hand and power tools
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and bills of material
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must have attention to detail and be able to work independently and follow written procedures
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development required
  • 0-1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment desirable
