Statewide Medical Director Opportunity

VitalCore Health Strategies, a leading provider of correctional healthcare, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Statewide Medical Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical guidance, leadership, and oversight of all aspects of correctional medical care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical direction and oversight of correctional medical care
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols, policies, and procedures
  • Manage referrals to outside healthcare facilities
  • Supervise physicians and mid-level providers
  • Participate in staff and community education initiatives
Requirements:
  • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Michigan
  • Board Certification
  • Valid unrestricted DEA License
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Master's degree in business administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), or Healthcare Administration (MHCA) preferred
  • Experience in launching and managing innovative medical programs
  • Knowledge of managed healthcare systems, medical quality assurance, quality improvement, and risk management
