Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Technician to join our team at Fairview Lakes Medical Center. As an ERT, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our emergency department staff.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide transportation, assistance, and communication with patients and families, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
  • Documentation: Accurately and timely document patient care activities and procedures on nursing records.
  • Unit Maintenance: Restock rooms, supplies, and carts, and perform quality control checks on designated equipment.
Qualifications
  • License/Certification/Registration: Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required upon hire and maintained throughout employment.
  • AND ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING: Current EMT or ERT certification, Paramedic Certification, certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry, enrollment in an LPN, RN, or Nurse Practitioner program, six months of recent direct patient care experience, or successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous Emergency Room experience, current CNA or NST experience.
  • License/Certification/Registration: Paramedic, EMT, ERT, LPN, CNA, PCA.
