Overview

Fairview Health Services is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join the Emergency Medicine Department at M Health Fairview Lakes Medical Center. This esteemed medical facility provides award-winning care to the communities northeast of the Twin Cities. As a Level IV trauma center, it offers life-saving treatment to the seriously ill and injured 24 hours a day. Specialty services are available on-site in heart care, cancer care, childbirth, orthopedics, pediatrics, and more.

Practice Details
  • Collaborate with a team of 15 Physicians and 7 APRNs/PAs
  • FTE: flexible from
  • Fairview Lakes Medical Center is a 65 licensed bed facility and 24 bed ED
  • Level IV Trauma Center
  • The department sees an average of 75 patients per day
  • Annual Emergency Department volumes: 28,000
  • Approximately 15% of the Emergency Department visits are pediatrics
  • Physician shift times are 8-10 hours during the week and 10-12 hours on weekends. APRNs/PAs Coverage 10:00am-6:00pm, M-F
  • Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)

Responsibilities

Wyoming, Minnesota - Just 30 miles north of St. Paul and 33 miles northeast of Minneapolis, the city of Wyoming and surrounding communities nestle into the serenity of sparkling lakes, luscious wetlands, and scenic open spaces. Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Emergency Medicine training program
  • BC/BE with American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association
  • Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
