Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and efficient execution of surgical procedures.
- Prepare the surgical environment with sterile drapes, solutions, and necessary instruments.
- Provide required instruments and supplies to the surgeon during operations.
- Assist in the preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping of patients.
- Maintain an organized instrument setup and monitor instrument counts throughout the procedures.
Qualifications:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider certification required within one month of hire or transfer date. Acceptable certifications include those from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Surgical Tech credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) required prior to hire or transfer date.
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience, or an Associate's degree, or a Technical degree is required.
