Intensive Care Unit ICU Staff Nurse RN Night Shift

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team as a Float ICU Staff Nurse RN. This is a regular full-time position with a night shift schedule.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ICU environment, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. As a Float ICU Staff Nurse RN, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, utilizing your critical thinking skills and expertise to make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, assessing, and evaluating patients' physical and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data, making informed decisions to adjust care plans as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Current New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse.
- Two years of ICU RN experience, with a strong foundation in critical care nursing.
- Basic Life Support Training and Infection Control Training.
- Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.
