At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation to make humanity a multi-planetary species. As a Principal Hardware Development Electrical Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing cutting-edge electrical systems for our spacecraft and rockets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, and develop electrical systems, including circuit boards, power supplies, and signal processing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and software components.
  • Develop and implement testing and validation procedures to ensure electrical systems meet performance and safety requirements.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and production teams to ensure smooth transition of electrical systems from development to production.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in electrical hardware development, with a strong focus on design, analysis, and testing.
  • Experience with analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and signal processing.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power supplies, signal processing, and communication systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with design and development of electrical systems for spacecraft and rockets.
  • Knowledge of ITAR regulations and export control procedures.
  • Strong understanding of SpaceX's mission and values, with a passion for advancing the commercial space industry.
