Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Ambulatory Pharmacy team at Cencora. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and review patient clinical and prescription plan coverage information
- Enter new prescription and existing prescription information into the pharmacy information system
- Address insurance, reimbursement, and payment issues with insurance providers, patients, and pharmacists
- Participate in achieving business goals and metrics for the Ambulatory Pharmacy
- Retrieve and prepare medication for pharmacist review and verification
- Prepare inventory reports for pharmacist review and purchase
- Submit, receive, and place inventory in stock
- Answer inbound telephone calls and triage calls to the appropriate staff
- Assist with the review and handling of adjudicated prescription claims
- Provide required information for therapeutic consults with patients
- Intervene with Pharmacy Benefit Manager Companies to resolve plan and patient-specific adjudication issues
- Supply and monitor ambulatory dispensing robotic technology
- Deliver medications and pharmaceutical supplies to patients as outlined by the concierge prescription program
- Normally requires a minimum of two (2) years directly related and progressively responsible ambulatory pharmacy experience
- Bachelor's degree program preferred
- Pharmacy technician certification with a national technical certification organization, such as Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or other comparable national certification required
- State pharmacy certification is acceptable if core competencies are equal to or better than national certification requirements
