Position Overview: The primary duty of the Residential Cleaning Specialist is to ensure that all designated areas are cleaned daily, adhering to established standards of quality, quantity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough cleaning of assigned rooms following established techniques and procedures within scheduled time constraints.
  • Report housekeeping and maintenance needs by completing the appropriate forms promptly.
  • Immediately report any unsafe working conditions or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness of floors through dry mopping, wet mopping, and sweeping as necessary.
  • Vacuum carpets and rugs, ensuring they are returned to their proper locations.
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning agents for designated areas, including furniture polish for furniture and damp cloths for window sills.
  • Clean and disinfect resident and public restrooms, checking and replenishing necessary supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of stairways, elevators, entrances, and exits, removing any loose debris.
  • Regularly clean light fixtures, handrails, and hallway decorations, using disinfectants where necessary.
  • Dispose of trash from designated work areas daily, ensuring proper disposal methods are followed.
  • Maintain equipment used for daily tasks, ensuring cleanliness and adequate inventory of supplies, including cleaning carts and mops.
  • Make beds after rooms have been sanitized or upon resident request for a set fee.
