Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Lead to join our team of IT professionals in a permanent role. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of the Property and Casualty domain and experience leading major transformation programs using Guidewire ClaimCenter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist business collaborators in reaching conclusive and prioritized requirements and scope management.
  • Lead major transformation programs using Guidewire ClaimCenter.
  • Elaborate, document, and validate functional and technical requirements.
  • Run inception workshops and capture requirement sign-off.
  • Clarify requirements to developers and QAs through walkthroughs.
  • Review and provide sign-off to test cases against each requirement.
  • Conduct product demos to program collaborators during sprint reviews and collect feedback for product improvement.
  • Support Guidewire initiatives, including projects, improvements, maintenance, and regulatory changes.
  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding.
  • Analyze and write detailed descriptions of user requirements, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify Guidewire products.
  • Makes recommendations for business process improvements with a detailed understanding of technical problems and solutions.
  • Act as a functional lead to provide support to other program BAs for their critical queries around the domain and product.
  • Understand clients' stated and unstated needs and break down the scope.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide an overview across client portfolios for multi-functional needs and product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with product owners on product definition, work, and release planning.
  • Maintain relationships with critical clients' collaborators (business and technical) from a functional perspective.
Required Qualifications
  • GW ClaimCenter implementation experience.
  • Experience in leading inception workshops and leading business requirement sessions.
  • Workers Compensation experience.
  • Cloud project implementation experience.
  • Superb interpersonal skills for active listening, documentation, and delivering the right message.
  • Functional Product Certification (GW ACE, professional, or analyst in CC).
  • JIRA or SAFe certification or courses acquired.
  • Preferred Domain certificate (INS, similar).
  • Strong creative and critical thinking skills.
