This role presents an opportunity for professional growth and increased responsibility. Initially, you will engage in transaction processing to gain insights into the business, ultimately becoming the primary representative of the accounting function. You will work closely with the CEO and have exposure to the Executive Leadership Team and employees across all levels. Collaboration with the Controller, who has a strong background in accounting operations and compliance, and the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will be key in meeting investor reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Manage the monthly closing process, ensuring timely updates to the monthly close checklist and providing management with status reports to deliver financial statements by the 10th business day.
  • Lead the accelerated quarterly closing process, providing preliminary revenue, cash, and EBITDA figures to Financial Planning & Analysis by the 3rd business day for investor reporting.
  • Review revenue schedules prepared by the Revenue Accountant, ensuring compliance with GAAP, ASC 606, and other relevant standards while maintaining appropriate documentation.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Conduct departmental-level profit and loss trend analyses to identify accruals and ensure consistent expense categorization.
  • Review and reconcile intercompany transactions for our UK subsidiary and consolidate financial data.
  • Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis and Revenue Operations to accurately calculate and record bonus and commission accruals.
  • Work with Human Resources to allocate benefits expenses and reconcile accrued benefits accounts.
  • Supervise the work of interns, including posting bills and expense transactions to the general ledger.
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure compliance with employee expense reporting policies.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • CPA license or progress towards obtaining it (actively pursuing certification).
  • Local candidates preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the software industry with a solid understanding of revenue recognition and associated risks.
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment or 2+ years in a CPA firm, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Curiosity and a dedication to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to adapt proactively to changing business needs.
