Human Resource Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resource Generalist to join our team at PeopleShare. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our human resources functions.
Key Responsibilities- General HR: Provide administrative support to the HR department, including recruitment, benefits, and payroll.
- Labor Relations: Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, supervisors, and labor unions.
- Benefits: Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Occupational Health: Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and enforcing occupational health and safety policies.
- Worker's Compensation: Manage worker's compensation claims and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Safety: Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization, including liability and compliance risks.
- Recruiting: Assist in the recruitment and hiring process, including posting job openings and interviewing candidates.
- Onboarding: Ensure a smooth transition for new employees, including orientation and training.
- Offboarding: Manage the separation process for departing employees, including exit interviews and final pay.
- Payroll: Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Tracking: Maintain accurate records of employee data, including attendance, performance, and benefits.
- Odyssey: Utilize HR software to track and manage employee data, including benefits, payroll, and performance.
- Union: Develop and maintain positive relationships with labor unions and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to employees, supervisors, and the public.
- Knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of computers and computer software, with the ability to apply this aptitude in word processing, Excel spreadsheet development, and Word document merges.
- Thorough knowledge of proper records management, retention of records, and cataloging of files.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information. Ability to manage stressful situations.
- Ability to prepare and analyze comprehensive reports, conduct assignments, and administer existing and proposed programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and proficiently in writing with various employees, managers, labor unions, and the public.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors and managers, other agencies, and the public.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position. American Sign Language may also be considered an acceptable form of communication.
- Associates Degree in Human Resources or Business; and,
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources preferred; and
- A minimum of two years experience working in an HR support position or,
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
