Job Title: Principal Digital Forensics and Insider Risk Engineer

About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Principal Digital Forensics and Insider Risk Engineer to join our Information Security team. As a key member of our Detection and Response (DART) team, you'll be responsible for shaping and implementing our Insider Risk and Digital Forensics program. You'll be our internal expert, setting strategy and building systems to protect Roblox's critical assets from internal threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement digital forensics and insider risk management strategies to protect Roblox's assets.
  • Collaborate with the InfoSec team, various Engineering teams, and the SIRT, IR, and SIEM teams within InfoSec to safeguard our platform and users.
  • Guide the design and implementation of security systems to prevent and detect insider threats.
  • Be a founding member of the Digital Forensics and Insider Risk team at Roblox, and have a big impact on how we secure the metaverse.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience in digital forensics and insider risk management.
  • Experience writing and maintaining scripts in languages such as Go or Python; producing data sets for legal review; understanding instrumentation and detection methods used in insider risk.
  • Deep understanding of digital forensics; insider threat; maintaining chain of custody for digital evidence; hands-on experience with modern SIEM/SOAR/UEBA tools.
  • Knowledge of security concepts including DLP, eDiscovery, Digital Forensics, SIEM/EDR, and Incident Response.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication; ability to work in a team and independently; adaptability to evolving threats and technologies.
