Job Overview

Sonstegard Foods Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Archer, IA location.

This is a full-time, day shift position that requires the ability to work weekends and overtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities, grounds, and equipment.
  • Conduct basic preventative maintenance on equipment and buildings.
  • Assist with the movement of live birds and spent hens.
  • Haul manure and eggshells.
  • Ensure safe use of equipment.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic reasoning and thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and overtime.

  • $16.00+ depending on experience.
  • Performance reviews after the first 90 days, 6 months, and annually.

Physical Requirements
  • Lift products and materials ranging in weight from 20 – 75 lbs on a continuous basis.
  • Repetitive grasping, twisting, pulling, and pushing.
  • Standing for the duration of the shift.
  • Working around loud equipment.
