Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Screening Technician II to join our Toxicology Division in Richmond, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating the instruments used to perform the initial analysis on urine and oral fluid specimens for substances of abuse, adhering to SAMSHA guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain screening instruments, ensuring accurate and reliable results
- Review and troubleshoot issues with screening data, meeting turnaround goals and completing assigned tasks daily
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures, ensuring confidentiality of donor information and adhering to established guidelines
- Screen all sample types on the analyzer, cross-train in Negative Certification, and discard specimens after analysis
- Complete all screen actions prior to the end of shift, adhering to all established guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience
- Advanced ability to understand analytical techniques and procedures, laboratory instrumentation, and certification requirements for SAMSHA, CAP-PUDT, and other relevant regulatory bodies
- Basic understanding of drugs that are tested and laboratory computer systems

The base pay for this position is $17.80 $35.60 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
