Job Title: Serial Planning Specialist

Scout Motors is seeking a highly skilled Serial Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production planning team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing planning concepts and projects for the Paint Shop department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement planning concepts and projects for the Paint Shop department, including design specifications and general conditions.
  • Ensure defined measures and develop techniques or processes, analyzing and evaluating alternative solutions under economic standards.
  • Coordinate and evaluate product changes and their impact on Paint Shop production processes, equipment, and methods.
  • Plan all application processes in Paint Shop production, equipment, and methods, elaborating scopes into layout plans considering departmental requirements.
  • Create production plans for all work sequences according to valid time-finding procedures, ensuring and controlling defined measures, and coordinating technical contractors.
  • Maintain and create an ergonomic and requirement-oriented work environment in the Paint Shop, ensuring environmental protection, fire protection measures, and work safety.
  • Plan equipment and determine material supply/delivery.
  • Approve technical specifications of production equipment and clarify technical issues with technical contractors and suppliers of Paint Shop equipment.
  • Create layouts, specifications, time schedules, and investment plans following economic standards.
  • Prepare offers comparative analyses and purchase orders.
  • Optimize series process materials and techniques in terms of quality, costs, and process reliability, including recycling and disposal.
  • Realize pre-series production ramp-up to series operation.
  • Process planning orders, improvement proposals, and change requests, including ongoing revision.
  • Coordinate related departments, R&D, and operators, focusing on implementing suggestions for product design according to production requirements and identifying optimization measures.
  • This role is carried out responsibly in factual cooperative collaboration with supervisors, employees, involved, and affected departments, in compliance with existing guidelines, standards, and regulations.
  • Steer/coordinate external personnel/service providers.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of professional experience in Paint Shop Planning.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related fields.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate-dependent.

Initial base salary range = $110,000-$130,000
