Industrial Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team at West Fraser. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining industrial equipment, including conveying systems, machine centers, and other machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and maintain industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Read and understand technical drawings and instructions to complete tasks efficiently
- Work safely under high-pressure situations and maintain a safe work environment
- Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
- Adjust tension on nuts and bolts, and position parts using hand tools and measuring instruments
- Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb tools
- Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools
- Lay out mounting holes using measuring instruments and drill holes with a power drill
- Replace defective parts of machines or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts
- Level bed-plates and establish center lines using straightedges, levels, and transits
- Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Experience with cutting torches (Oxygen/Acetylene) and welding (GMAW and SMAW)
- Safety-oriented and compliant with ZES
- Willingness to work overtime and be on-call to support operations
- 2 years of Millwright work experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment or an associate degree in industrial maintenance
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
- Competitive hourly rates ranging from $24.00-$42.00
