Position Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized nursing care to residents in accordance with established protocols, while closely monitoring for signs of discomfort, changes in condition, and other health indicators.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' physical, emotional, and social needs through observation and interaction.
- Utilize assessment data to formulate and implement effective care plans.
- Ensure accurate transcription and timely processing of medical orders, integrating them into nursing care.
- Administer medications as prescribed, adhering to established policies and procedures, and document all actions appropriately.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation aligned with the resident care plan.
- Compile and manage resident records, ensuring all necessary forms are completed promptly.
- Prepare incident reports as required, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events as per policy.
- Support residents in developing self-care skills.
- Oversee nursing team assignments, providing clear instructions and guidance.
- Monitor meal services to ensure dietary needs are met and assist residents as necessary.
- Manage resources effectively to meet the needs of the unit.
- Recognize and respond to emergencies, taking appropriate action.
- Ensure timely response to resident call lights and address their needs promptly.
- Assist in orienting new staff members to the unit.
- Coordinate scheduled activities on the unit, working with activity and nursing personnel.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a nursing role within a healthcare setting.
- Licensure: Current LPN/LVN or RN license in the state of practice.
- Language Proficiency: Proficient in English, capable of effective communication with residents and staff.
- Strong clinical skills, including emergency response and patient care techniques.
- Ability to engage effectively with residents, including those who may be distressed or challenging.
- Exceptional leadership and supervisory capabilities.
