We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team at ACADIA Pharmaceuticals Inc. as a key leader within the Strategic Finance organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Manage Corporate Planning Processes: Oversee all ongoing corporate planning processes, including annual operating plan, long-range plan, sum-of-the-parts, monthly reporting, quarterly earnings call support, and board of directors materials.
- Coordinate Organizational Alignment: Ensure close collaboration with cross-functional operational leadership and the executive team to drive strategic decision-making.
- Coach and Develop FP&A Team: Provide expertise and guidance to the Financial Planning and Analysis team, focusing on team development and coaching.
- Communicate Business Trends and Insights: Develop and publish regular KPI/metric reporting to track results and identify trends, ensuring real-time communication of changes in assumptions and business trends to leadership.
- Manage Financial Statement Consolidation: Oversee the consolidation of financial statements forecasts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in corporate reporting.
- Develop Gross-to-Net Forecast: Create a comprehensive gross-to-net forecast for all product lines, considering payer mix, discount structures by entity, and regulatory changes.
- Sustain and Improve ERP Systems: Ensure the maintenance and improvement of ERP systems and integration with other corporate systems.
- Oversee Industry Benchmarking: Monitor industry benchmarking and peer set performance to inform strategic decision-making.
- Build Strong Relationships: Foster strong relationships with other functions within Strategic Finance, Accounting, cross-functional partners, and executive management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics. CPA/CFA/MBA preferred.
- Experience: 10-12 years of experience in corporate finance, banking, or consulting, with a strong background in biotech or healthcare industry experience.
- Skills: Strong track record of team building and managerial responsibility, understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and ability to work in a results-oriented, project-driven, real-time team environment.
