Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to lead our FP&A operation supporting Device Manufacturing, Product Development, and Quality functions. This critical role plays a key part in the growing Financial Planning and Analysis function and involves regular interaction with senior and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the build-out of FP&A capabilities for Technology Operations, including:
    • Overseeing monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning for device product revenue, gross margin, and functional expense management.
    • Publishing key financial and business metrics, monitoring performance, and offering insights into business performance, while identifying risks and opportunities for gross margins across device and commercial products.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with the Device Manufacturing, Product Development, and Quality leadership teams, contributing to board materials, presentations, and quarterly guidance preparation.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Development and Project Management teams to support tracking and reporting of development programs.
  • Create complex financial models and analytical tools to enable informed financial and business decision-making.
  • Build detailed knowledge of financial forecasts and long-range planning to support broader strategic risk-taking decisions.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to drive strategic initiatives, developing complex models to generate actionable recommendations.
  • As a key Finance team member, develop processes to support evolving business requirements, leveraging systems solutions to streamline reporting and automate internal processes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with at least 8 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • At least 5 years of FP&A experience in a similar role, with a minimum of 2 years in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex functions, formulas, and modeling techniques) and PowerPoint.
  • Thorough understanding of forecasting financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows).
  • Knowledge of cost accounting and drug product development/manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights is a plus.
