We are seeking a meticulous and organized Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to support our legal team at Harper Law Firm, a rapidly expanding litigation practice in Texas. Compensation:$50,000 - $80,000 annually
Key Responsibilities:This position will work closely with an attorney throughout all stages of litigation.
- Assist the attorney from initial case intake through trial preparation and settlement.
- Manage case calendars and documentation, including ordering and reviewing medical records and bills.
- Draft pleadings and various court documents, including complaints and discovery responses.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is complete prior to filing.
- Prepare lawsuits and coordinate service of process.
- Set up depositions and notify clients of their obligations and deadlines.
- Maintain the attorney's calendar and manage correspondence.
- Draft motions and discovery as required.
- File case pleadings and motions, following up with courts or third-party entities.
- Oversee the personal injury case docket proactively.
- Facilitate and manage the settlement process and disbursement of funds.
- Contribute to enhancing firm processes and systems.
- Working knowledge of Texas Court rules and procedures is essential.
- A minimum of 3 years of paralegal or litigation experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail are crucial.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to manage substantial workloads and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with legal software and a willingness to learn new tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
