Position Summary

The HR Operations Associate is essential in assisting the human resources department by overseeing multi-state payroll processing, including off-cycle payments, and managing data entry for benefits and open enrollment. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records in BambooHR, ensuring compliance with I-9 regulations, and addressing employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and company policies. The role also involves supporting the transition from BambooHR to UKG and aiding in talent acquisition during peak hiring periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Management: Utilize payroll software to input data and prepare payroll for over 450 employees, including processing bonuses and commissions.
  • Record Maintenance: Update employee records in BambooHR, verify I-9 compliance, and manage employee changes as required.
  • Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and company policies through Help Desk tickets.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure payroll practices adhere to legal standards.
  • HRIS Transition: Assist in the implementation of UKG as part of the HRIS transition.

General HR Support:

  • Collaborate with the HR team on various projects.
  • Provide support in talent acquisition during hiring surges, including conducting reference checks and phone screenings.
  • Reporting: Generate reports and respond to verification requests as needed.
  • Perform additional HR, payroll, and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in human resources, including at least 1 year focused on payroll.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations at both federal and state levels.
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting.
  • Familiarity with HRIS implementation processes.
  • Preferred experience with UKG.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is advantageous.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
