Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Physician Assistant for a locum tenens position. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide care to pediatric patients in a supportive environment.
Job Details:
- Specialty: Pediatric Physician Assistant
- Contract Length: 6 months
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Support Staff:
You will be supported by a team including Medical Assistants, Secretaries, and Registered Nurses.
Patient Care:
As a Pediatric Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting pediatric sick visits
- Performing newborn examinations
- Administering well-child exams for ages 1 month to 21 years
- Addressing ADHD, behavioral, and developmental concerns
- Managing some anxiety and depression cases
Practice Environment:
This position is within a network of physician practices that includes a diverse team of healthcare professionals. You will be expected to see patients at designated offices based on weekly needs.
Technology:
Experience with EMR systems is essential, specifically EPIC, with some use of Meditech for patient history access.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification: Must be ABP certified as a Pediatrician or hold a Pediatric NP certification.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid Ohio license.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in pediatric outpatient healthcare.
- Certifications: BLS certification is required; additional pediatric experience is preferred.
