About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee the refurbishment of CHEP pallets on our 2nd shift team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Daily Operations: Oversee the daily refurbishment of damaged pallets to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure that employees adhere to company standards for safety, security, and productivity.
  • Recruitment and Training: Conduct interviews, select, and train new employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Team Development: Motivate and develop your team to enhance performance and effectiveness.
  • Scheduling and Assignments: Manage work schedules and assignments for shipping and receiving operations.
  • Inventory and Quality Control: Oversee the checking of outgoing and incoming freight for accuracy in counts and codes, and assist in physical inventories and quality audits.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Collaborate with the Maintenance Mechanic to maintain a robust maintenance program and supervise all repair and inspection activities to ensure high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare and maintain daily production records and reports in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in supervising, managing, and coaching a production team.
  • Education: High School Diploma required; a 4-year degree is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Language: Bilingual in English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
