Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs, constructs, and inspects Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) networks to deliver voice, video, and data services to both residential and commercial clients.
  • Collaborates with various utility companies to secure permits, manage joint trench operations, and address service-related issues.
  • Conducts field engineering assessments for proposed initiatives, ensuring that alternative routing options yield the most economical construction designs.
  • Oversees all customer implementation processes, including site evaluations, node placements, and subcontractor management.
  • Coordinates contractor activities, secures necessary permits, and distributes design documents and other essential working materials.
  • Negotiates and approves modifications to design or construction plans as required.
  • Researches and reviews project plans, compiling necessary data and material requirements.
  • Engages with public works personnel, developers, commercial clients, building owners, and utility providers on joint trench projects.
  • Maintains workflow databases and updates project schedules regularly.
  • Assists in managing and estimating cost forecasts, material planning, and budget allocations.
  • Calculates construction expenses, prepares financial plans, and monitors expenditures.
  • Participates in revenue forecasting and budget management for both capital and operational expenses.
  • Verifies serviceability, surveys proposed service routes, and estimates material, labor, and construction costs.
  • Initiates customer communications, coordinates access agreements, completes route designs, and takes necessary actions to fulfill customer requirements.
  • May oversee material orders or collaborate with administrative staff; may also verify and reconcile invoices.
  • May plan and allocate fibers for splicing and activation processes.
  • May inspect construction activities or manage inspection assignments.
  • Upon project completion, performs necessary tasks to close entries in databases/tools, reconciles assets, and generates reports to ensure accurate project closure.
