Job Summary:

The Collections Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in supervising the collections division, ensuring streamlined and effective collection methodologies. This role encompasses team management, strategy development, and implementation aimed at diminishing outstanding receivables while nurturing positive client relationships.

Job Goals:

  • Minimize the days accounts receivable remain outstanding.
  • Enhance the overall collection rate and decrease the number of overdue accounts.
  • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the collections team through ongoing process enhancements and automation.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the collections team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to boost collection rates and reduce outstanding days.
  • Track and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) to pinpoint trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Address escalated collection challenges and negotiate payment arrangements with clients.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales and Customer Service, to resolve billing discrepancies and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
  • Compile and present regular reports on collection activities and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients to ensure timely payments and address any emerging issues.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine collection processes and systems for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
