Job Summary:

The Floor Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining various types of floor surfaces, including tile, terrazzo, and wood floors. This role will also involve cleaning and maintaining carpeted areas, as well as maintaining tools and equipment for maximum efficiency in cleaning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain various types of floor surfaces, including tile, terrazzo, and wood floors
  • Clean and maintain carpeted areas

  • Perform long hours of hard physical labor, including mopping, stripping, buffing, and handling heavy equipment

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Knowledge of floor care and cleaning
  • Skill in the preparation, use, and care of floor maintenance equipment
  • Knowledge of correct usage of chemical cleaning agents
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform long hours of hard physical labor

Working Conditions:

The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Occasional additional time may be needed to meet the needs of the department.

Competency Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
