Job Summary
The Buyer will execute procurement responsibilities to support business operations across various product lines. This role entails negotiating pricing, conducting price/cost analyses, and ensuring compliance with procurement documentation as mandated by AS9100 standards, Trust Automation policies, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage intricate purchase orders, including those with custom specifications or statement of work (SOW) requirements.
- Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate and analyze quotes, and negotiate contracts covering price, schedule, and terms in alignment with quality and delivery expectations through the ERP system.
- Select from approved suppliers, document agreements, and oversee the resulting purchase orders through the invoicing process.
- Negotiate modifications to purchase orders, foster positive supplier relationships, and engage with suppliers via phone, email, or in-person visits as necessary.
- Communicate forecasts to suppliers and confirm or expedite material deliveries as required to meet on-time delivery objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships and communicate performance metrics using supplier scorecards.
- Maintain the integrity of ERP planning data, ensuring real-time updates on lead times, preferred supplier pricing, and recommendations for inventory management.
- Participate in change control processes, including internal and external design changes, identifying alternative supply sources, and managing component obsolescence.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to coordinate non-conforming product activities and their resolution with suppliers.

Position Requirements
- A college degree, equivalent experience, or demonstrable knowledge in business administration with a focus on supply chain management, engineering, finance, or business analytics.
- Cross-functional understanding of supplier quality, manufacturing, and engineering as they pertain to procurement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks effectively, and communicate priorities clearly.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, along with data analytics skills.
- High level of personal accountability and professionalism in written and verbal communication, complemented by strong interpersonal skills.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with ERP systems, purchase order documentation, and understanding of terms and conditions.
- Familiarity with purchase order and shipping documentation, including terms and conditions and certificates of conformance.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- A combination of education and experience is advantageous.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to hear and speak to exchange information in person, on the telephone, or virtually.
- Dexterity of hands, fingers, and wrists to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, or assemble intricate items.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $68,000 to $80,000 annually.
