Electrical Control Systems Engineer

Volt is immediately hiring a skilled Electrical Control Systems Engineer to join our team. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, building, and commissioning electrical control systems for manufacturing environments. Key responsibilities include creating electrical and pneumatic schematics, wiring and validating control systems, building control panels to NFPA 79 & UL 508A standards, and designing and commissioning basic PLC and HMI software applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- At least 3 years of experience in automation and manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70E (Standard for Electrical Safety), NFPA 79 & UL508A codes
- Experience with PLC & HMI programming using Ladder Logic and Structured Text Language
- Mechanical equipment design/build experience
- Electrical control panel design, building, and wiring experience
