Job Overview

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking an experienced Nursing Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of our long-term care facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of resident care and optimizing the geriatric care process to improve quality and efficiency.

About the Role

This leadership position requires a Bachelor's degree in nursing and at least five years of nursing experience, preferably in a similar setting. You will have thorough knowledge of nursing practice acts and standards of care, as well as administrative and management techniques. A working knowledge of HUD, assisted living, and/or housing with services experience is beneficial. Additionally, you must hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing occurs or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include administering the nursing program, ensuring compliance with regulations, scheduling staff, conducting employee performance reviews, providing nursing care to residents on an as-needed basis, and assisting in marketing activities/programs. You will also maintain communication and address the rapidly changing healthcare environment while leading the development and execution of clinical programs, policies, procedures, and protocols.
