Position Clinical Instructor

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Education Director, the Clinical Instructor implements the educational program goals and objectives of the Department of Education for all Beaufort Memorial Hospital personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, manages, and maintains a preceptor/orientation program.
  • Trains and supervises staff with identified core competencies, in-service, and continuing education.
  • Maintains data to measure participation and trends with competence.
  • Assists with facilitation of hospital-wide process improvement projects, including policy creation/revision.
  • Establishes professional rapport and works to assist all departments in this endeavor through collaborative communication and appropriate decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a South Carolina License.
  • Baccalaureate Degree in a clinical field and a Master's degree required.
  • 5 years clinical experience.
  • Previous teaching experience preferred or proven ability to prepare, organize, and present course content and classroom instruction.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Effective communication skills.

Certifications/Licenses

  • Holds current South Carolina license.
  • BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift.
  • Current CPR instructor or obtained within one year of service.
