Job Title: Certified Nurse Assistant Instructor

Join the Technical College of the Lowcountry as a Certified Nurse Assistant Instructor and contribute to the education and development of future healthcare professionals.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Certified Nurse Assistant Instructor to join our team. As a Certified Nurse Assistant Instructor, you will be responsible for providing instruction in accordance with the established SC DHHS CNA guidelines and curriculum. You will teach day and evening classes in Beaufort, Hampton, and Colleton Counties, and be responsible for maintaining a safe learning environment and modeling this behavior to all students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish an environment conducive to learning and maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Provide and maintain accurate attendance and grades to the Allied Health Program Administrator in a timely manner.
  • Accompany students to their clinical experience and explain processes to students regarding the application process for the SC CNA Exam.
  • Identify "at risk" students and discuss options with the Allied Health Program Administrator.
  • Ensure courses are taught in accordance with the established syllabi and notify the Allied Health Program Administrator of needed supplies/equipment for instruction.
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate hands-on skills training with students.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Allied Health Program Administrator.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current South Carolina LVN, LPN, or RN License in good standing, and a minimum of one (1) year experience in Long Term Care. You will also need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
