Job Summary

Crook County is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Facilities Department, you will be responsible for maintaining all County-owned or leased facilities and property, including complex mechanical systems, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, building, landscaping, and remodeling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute repairs and services relating to assigned facilities.
  • Assist co-workers with all phases of building maintenance, including HVAC, carpentry, welding, painting, plumbing, electrical systems, and clean-up.
  • Respond to emergencies both during and after hours to ensure safe and operational condition of equipment and buildings.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
  • Coordinate, manage, and support contractors working on buildings and supporting equipment.
  • Perform daily inspections of facilities, utilities, and property.
  • Work a varied on-call schedule, including evenings, nights, and weekends, as required.
Requirements
  • Two years of related work experience in building maintenance or a related area, with emphasis on HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical trades.
  • Able to complete a thorough employment and/or criminal history check.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Oregon Driver's license (ODL) or obtain ODL within 30 days.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in an indoor and outdoor field environment, travel from site to site, and exposure to noise, dust, grease, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, and all types of weather and temperature conditions in a safe and timely manner.
