Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team at Simpatico Systems, LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing Security, Life Safety, Audio and Video equipment at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on products and equipment at customer sites.
  • Keep track of service calls via company-paid cell phone and laptop, including products serviced, work performed, hours and parts utilized.
  • Maintain an accurate parts inventory at levels that ensure a first-time fix.
  • Demonstrate and train customers on how to use their equipment properly.
  • Keep your manager informed about customer satisfaction, potential sales opportunities, or recurring problems.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Highly organized, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently.
  • General knowledge of electronics required.
  • Willing to obtain or have a State License as required (State-dependent).
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high-lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • Ability to travel and work overtime as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in Alarm, Surveillance, fiber, electrical, and/or other low-voltage systems.
  • Associate degree in Electronics and/or Networking, or technical military equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to perform service on more than a single complete integrated solution.
